WHAT IS JUVEDERM ?
JUVEDERM is an injectable gel made from modifies hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is naturally occurring sugar in the human body. Juvederm XC and Juvederm Ultra XC also contain an anesthetic , called lidocaine, to help reduce discomfort during your treatment.
Juvederm XC is most often used to treat the wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, commonly referred to as Nasolabial Folds. It is the only HA filler proven to last up to 1 year in moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines.
Additionally, Juvederm Ultra XCcan be used to treat areas such as the vertical lines that are around the lips (also known as “lip lines”) and for lip augmentation as well as lines that appear with smiling and laughing. In some instances, Juvederm may also be used to treat acne scars.
Over time, your skin loses elasticity and moisture. This natural process, plus genetics and environmental factors like sun exposure, pollution, night shifts, can cause moderate to severe lines and folds . While serums and creams can help moisturize the skin’s surface, JUVEDERM XC goes beneath the surface to reduce appearance of deep lines and folds, and gives you immediate and natural looking, long lasting results.

HOW IS JUVEDERM APPLIED?

HOW LONG JUVEDERM ULTRA AND ULTRA PLUS XC LAST ?
Results from a Juvederm treatment may vary. Due to variables such as the amount of filler injected and the area of treatment, results will typically last anywhere from a few months up to a year.
Juvederm is not a permanent treatment and will naturally go away over time. Because Juvederm Ultra acts as a replacement of the foundation under the skin that was once there, Juvederm, just like this supporting foundation, will naturally wear away over time.
